Objection to proposed deletion[edit]

This is collected by the Met as a notable artwork (it's one of their collection highlights), and there are WP:RS articles directly on this garment that remain to be added. I think it should be viewed as an historic artwork in the same way as a painting or sculpture that has academic-type publications on them. (I am Wikimedian-in-Residence at WP:THEMET, supporting this project). --Pharos (talk) 13:42, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Here is an "introductory" article on the subject: "A Man's Caftan and Leggings from the North Caucasus of the Eighth to Tenth Century: Introduction": Metropolitan Museum Journal, v. 36 (2001)--Pharos (talk) 15:15, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Expansion[edit]

I have significantly expanded this article. - PKM (talk) 18:37, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
