Holocaust denial
[edit]From what I understand it wasn't just that Holocaust Deniers have used his work, but that he himself was one of them. This source, which I don't know much about, definitely lists him as one [1]. This source (in Polish) lists him as one of a group of "revisionists", along with several other well known hd-ers [2].radek (talk) 20:49, 20 September 2010 (UTC)
- Does anyone dispute that he is a Holocaust denier? Jayjg (talk) 16:50, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
- I guess he would dispute, if he were alive.
- Anyway, I do not think you can draw that conclusion from just one paper. What he does is uses simple statistics to arrive at a number. Most likely his number is wrong. He is not making any strong argument that it is right. Noes that make him a Holocaust denier?
- I do admit that he is an anti-Finnish racist. -- Petri Krohn (talk) 17:55, 28 September 2010 (UTC)
- This is old stuff, but actually Nordling himself wrote for "Historical Revisionist" publications, like The Revisionist.Volunteer Marek (talk) 12:20, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
Firstly, Nordling served in the defence of Finland during both the Winter War and Continuation War, so I would hardly say that he held anti-Finnish sentiments, perhaps he did, but I cannot see as to why he then would risk his own life for the country of the Finnish people. Secondly, Nordling estimated that between three to six hundred thousand Jews perished in German concentration camps. Therefore he cannot have been a holocaust denier. Such a claim would demand that he denied that many, a considerable amount of, Jews died in German concentration camps by German hands, which he did not do. I would however call him a revisionist, since he revised previous estimates of Jewish casualties in German concentration camps. Therefore a suitable label would be revisionist. This of course demands that the killing of three to six hundred thousand Jews is enough to be seen as a holocaust. If it is not then I understand why some would call him holocaust denier. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.73.47.106 (talk) 23:44, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
- Please review the lead of the Holocaust denial article, which explains the three key claims of Holocaust denial. Jayjg (talk) 00:50, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
