Year of birth
[edit]- The article states that Strong was born in 1984, but there is no source to back it up. Given that, I removed the year twice, but User:Corkdraw keeps putting it back by claiming a source from places like PeopleFinders and Peoplesearch, which are not reliable sources. Also, if Corkdraw now claims that Entertainment Weekly said she is 28, why not add that source to the article? (I looked for such a source myself and couldn't find one, and I didn't remove the year again because I don't want to violate WP:3RR.) Also, if she is 28, that doesn't necessarily mean she was born in 1984; she could have been born in November or December (or even late October) of 1983. - I see a source was added that supposedly states her age, but it's merely an image that doesn't necessarily state that she is the same person from SNL; in addition, the website that image is hosted on is non-functioning. Erpert Who is this guy? | Wanna talk about it? 03:05, 22 October 2012 (UTC)

She's obviously white, and filipina and hispanic are not races. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.82.4.155 (talk) 03:58, 17 March 2013 (UTC)

- Someone's race is not up to your "vote" based on what you'd simply like it to be. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 100.11.128.55 (talk) 16:58, 18 January 2016 (UTC)

- I have nothing to verify about her ethnic background but I am Mexican-American and have dozens of female cousins who are dead-ringers for Cecily. I recently took a 23 & Me DNA test and the paternal side I share with said cousins shows us to be about 75% Iberian and 22% Native, with a bit of Euro-Jew and Subsaharan African. Who knows, maybe she was adopted or her mother is lying? Lots of Hispanic females marry into Anglo families and quickly erase any notion that they're Hispanic by naming their children Tristan, Liam, Ethan, Abigail, Audrey, and Noah to name a few, avoiding names like Augustino, Jose, and Pedro at all costs. Cecily Strong was born on born February 8, 1984, in Springfield, Illinois, USA. Her nationality is American and ethnicity is mixed(English, German, Scottish, Swiss-German, Italian/Sicilian).[1]

Personal Facts
[edit]Strong is a vegetarian who enjoys stuffed baby artichokes and green beans. The moment that largely defined Strong as a hit on Saturday Night Live was from Strong's character in “The Girl You Wish You Hadn’t Started a Conversation with at a Party”. Colin Jost, who succeeded Seth Meyers on “Weekend Update," also co-writes with Strong "non sequiturs and risqué malapropisms, “Porn Stars”: “Herpes handbags! One out of every four people has it—and so should you.” http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2016/01/cecily-strong-saturday-night-live Emily Townsend (talk) 21:17, 25 October 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Add that Strong has performed on a "cruise ship with fellow Second City members for four months" after the Second City mention in the career tab. http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2016/01/cecily-strong-saturday-night-live Emily Townsend (talk) 21:17, 25 October 2016 (UTC)

"Goober The Clown" sketch—appropriate for inclusion?
[edit]Should an entry be made in Strong's Saturday Night Live information concerning the "Goober The Clown (Who Had An Abortion At 23)" sketch of November 6, 2021? It has received widespread media attention, including from CNN, Yahoo!, Vanity Fair, Huffington Post, and others. 2601:3CA:204:F860:BCB5:1EA6:7C6F:C64F (talk) 05:05, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
- I think it's worth adding information about. Why not give it a try, and other editors can edit it as appropriate? Moncrief (talk) 20:20, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
- Done. More familiar with another wiki's formatting/syntax, so please feel free to clean up anything I did incorrectly, with my appreciation. 2601:3CA:204:F860:44C5:B1E4:D010:64B4 (talk) 22:48, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
- That's great. I can usually find something to edit in any piece of text, but not yours. Thanks for the solid addition. Moncrief (talk) 23:59, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
