I have renamed the article and removed the deletion notice in an effort to improve the uniqueness of the subject matter. The type of dish specified is of cultural significance to the area in which it is most commonly made (North Carolina, USA). While I do agree that many places where chicken is eaten there are dishes called "Chicken Stew," this particular article describes a unique recipe that is common in the state of North Carolina and surrounding areas. Perhaps a better place for this article would be in a larger article that includes North Carolina regional cuisine, or perhaps USA southern cuisine. As far as the notability of the subject matter is concerned, the dish is an old tradition in North Carolina, the preparation and consumption of which forms a basis for a variety of social functions as indicated in the article. I felt it was as notable as Carolina pork barbecue, Brunswick stew and Moravian chicken pie (the former two wither have articles or are included in articles in Wikipedia). Any further suggestions or comments on improving this entry are welcome.

It is a major cultural phenom in northern Georgia. Many families and communities celebrate the "first mull of the season" as a special event. I also added another reference. jsfouche ☽☾Talk 03:51, 20 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
