What motivates a person to keep a child from her father for over a year. There are people out there who have done the unthinkable who live there life in dark shadows and yet still get to see their children hold them and influence their lives. How is it that an innocent man can be so deeply manipulated and ruined in our court system? If a father wants to be a part of his child's life nothing should be able to take that from.

Boarding school

[edit]

There is an appeal to a single reference to claim that boarding school is a kind of displacement. The reference does not support this; it refers to certain systems of boarding school in which the kids were more or less involuntarily separated from their parents. I haven't stepped up to correcting this yet but if there is some other source which supports the current wording of the article I would like to see it. I fully agree. The view that boarding schools (voluntary, of children who are old enough, and where the child maintains contact with parents) is a form of child displacement is certainly a fringe view. Unfortunately, this article, just like the Boarding School article, is terribly biased - the author (User:Robin klein) has contributed copiously to both articles, and is clearly trying to push a POV and use Wikipedia as a soapbox. 2A02:2F01:505F:FFFF:0:0:50C:840E (talk) 00:32, 11 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
