For the ordinary non-professional encyclopedia reader, the truly interesting aspects are those of the canon itself, for which there is no link to a list, and the criteria adopted for arriving at the canon, which are scarcely mentioned. --Wetman (talk) 15:44, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article is one day old. Perhaps you would like to help expand it? Awadewit (talk) 02:45, 19 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Some captured information for someone else to evaluate

[edit]

Hello! I am editing today with a migraine. Not a good idea. So at the Phoenix Award page, when I found a link to an outdated wiki as the only reference, I just added bulleted references and updates to that section rather than attempting and messing up inline refs.

So, A) if someone wants to work on that article, I would be grateful, and B) if any of the info I found (including digitized versions of some ChLA papers & journals) are useful for this article or its external links section, then... Yay! Here they are as I copy and paste with my last working brain cell before napping:

  • Phoenix Award on the former Children's Literature Association's Wiki. Information has not been maintained at this site since June 15, 2007, when the organization moved to their own domain. Retrieved February 23, 2011.
  • The Phoenix Awards pages at the Children's Literature Association's web site. Includes links to the Phoenix Award Papers, many available online, and to five of the Phoenix Award Recipient Speeches since the year 2000 award. The Phoenix Award is one of six awards given by the organization. Retrieved February 23, 2011.
  • Children's Literature Association: Announcements page "Digitization of ChLA Journals: ChLA is delighted to announce that all issues of Children's Literature and Children's Literature Association Quarterly are now available through The Johns Hopkins University Press online collection, Project Muse." Retrieved February 23, 2011.
  • Project MUSE - Children's Literature Association Quarterly. "ABOUT THE JOURNAL: With a new look and a new editorial staff, the Children's Literature Association Quarterly continues its tradition of publishing first-rate scholarship in Children's Literature Studies... Each issue features an editorial introduction, juried articles about research and scholarship in children's literature, and book reviews." Retrieved February 23, 2011.
