Quote Famous within Canada

[edit]

The quote attributed to Yeutter included on 6 August 2007 is out of context. If the quote is in fact famous it should be supported with references and placed in context. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fopam (talkcontribs) 04:41, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It has been over two years since my first comment. At that time this article was just a stub and the original contribution was clearly meant to be disparaging (see edit by Hutcher of 03:25, August 6, 2007), as it had no context, was a reference from a largely unrelated source, and occurred a decade after the original event. Nevertheless, I improved the original contribution by placing it in context (see edit at 05:32, November 2, 2009 ). I have now removed my edit (see edit at 22:07, July 15, 2011) and replaced it with a more thorough explanation of the original event. ~ Fopam (talk) 20:23, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Another quote

[edit]

U.S. Trade Representative Clayton Yeuter admitted that "the main objective of the proposed tropical labeling legislation was to protect the domestic oil industry."

I can find many sources but no reliable sources in google. Anyone have one? I wonder if it's verifiable or fabricated… --Elvey (talk) 02:24, 19 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
