Requested move 2008
[edit]- The following discussion is an archived discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the proposal was no evidence to support move. JPG-GR (talk) 05:32, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Craig Morgan (singer) → Craig Morgan — "Craig Morgan" already redirects here, so why not just move it and get rid of the qualifier before his name? We already have Craig Morgan (disambiguation), so I feel that there's no need to have the qualifier and a dab page. Furthermore, I would imagine that, just judging from the number of incoming links, that most people who are looking for a Craig Morgan on Wikipedia are looking for this one. Except for the fact that there are several Craig Morgans and not just one, I feel that this is similar to Tracy Byrd (musician), Clay Walker (musician) and Doug Stone (singer) all losing their respective qualifiers. — Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells • Otter chirps • HELP) 14:56, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Discussion
[edit]- Any additional comments:
Why do you believe that an overwhelming majority of the readers will want this Craig Morgan, as opposed to all the others? If that's not the case, Craig Morgan should redirect to the dab page, or rather be the dab page. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 16:05, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
- The incoming links are by no means sufficient evidence; the difference is not that great, and what there is is a matter of style in country music articles. If we had articles for every soccer game, as we do for every song, the balance would be different. (And those that link to simple Craig Morgan are mostly wrong, which is a reason not to do this move.) Septentrionalis PMAnderson 16:11, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Intro vs. Musical Career
[edit]These two sections come really close to mirroring each other. Is there a way to clean this up? Take the most recent edits from 19 November, for example. The editor had to change the Top 10 status for "Love Remembers" in both places. Atlantabravz (talk) 19:26, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

Requested move 2011
[edit]- The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: moved. Favonian (talk) 12:05, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
– I think that, judging by the traffic accumulated by each page, we have a textbook WP:PRIMARYTOPIC case here. Namely:
- Craig Morgan (singer): about 300 hits per day
- Craig Morgan (footballer): about 25 hits per day
- Craig Morgan (rugby player): about 1 hit per day, with 2 days this month where it was not hit at all.
In this case, I think it is patently obvious that the singer's article is "much more likely than any other, and more likely than all the others combined to be the subject being sought when a reader enters that ambiguous term in the Search box". If one subject is getting 1200% as much traffic as the other, then that pretty much screams WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. (Note that the last requested move was in 2008 and had only one other participant.) - Support Don't see any reason why not, most people searching for "Craig Morgan" are looking for the singer. --Caldorwards4 (talk) 21:50, 11 July 2011 (UTC)
- Support per Caldorwards4. I would've have said the same thing if I had gotten here before his response. EnDaLeCoMpLeX (contributions) • (let's chat) 21:53, 11 July 2011 (UTC)
- Support per nom and Caldorwards4. Craig Morgan the singer is clearly the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Eric444 (talk) 22:40, 11 July 2011 (UTC)

Personal Life
[edit]First line under personal life states: Morgan is married to wife Karen and has four children: daughters Alex and Marissa, and sons Kyle, Jerry, and Wyatt. That's five, not four.
Also, news outlets are reporting that on Sunday, July 10, 2016, son Jerry is missing following a tubing accident on Kentucky Lake in Humphreys County, Tennessee.[2]
Charitable Efforts
[edit]Second paragraph under Charitable Efforts refers to Craig's funding and naming of Billy's Place, with no explanation as to what that is (other than a dead link as a reference at the end of the paragraph).
