"Route"

[edit]

I disagree with the wording in the article calling a 12-point win by the Rams a "route" [sic]. A rout is when a team wins in a decisive and dominating fashion. A win by 17 points or more is a rout, as is any game in which a team manages no points. But 12-point wins are common, and the wording should be changed. The Super Bowl Rams put up a beautiful second half, but they didn't manage anything resembling a rout. If I recall the game correctly, the Vikings held in close until about halfway into the fourth quarter. 66.80.212.78 20:00, 12 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thank you for your input. I agree with you and I have changed the wording. In the future, feel free to edit the page. Contributions such as these are what make Wikipedia. Kushboy 21:58, 12 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The 'route' in question was 49-17 before the Vikings scored a few meaningless TDs. Anyone that watched or played in the game would call it a 'route'. User: Dlz28 21 November 2006

The word is "rout." Can't you read? 64.111.148.195 (talk) 22:20, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ohio State Days

[edit]

I'm suprised there is no mention of him having to miss his senior year at Ohio State because he took money from a booster.

2005 NFL Playoffs Predictions

[edit]

I'd like to point out that Cris had 2 correct game pics out of all 11 total chances for Yahoo! Sports. This was partially because he picked against the Steelers every time (who ended up winning the Super Bowl). The "biased" comments that some user just posted reminded me of this. --Cngodles 16:20, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot (talk) 18:33, 5 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Need to shorten "Minnesota Vikings 1990-2001" section

[edit]

I attempted to shorten this section by removing information not pertaining directly to Cris Carter, but it should be shortened much more eventually. - Maximusveritas (talk) 19:40, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Section about his son

This information doesn't strike me as relevent as per WP:BLP and WP:UNDO and I propose that it be removed. SeanNovack (talk) 19:12, 14 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
