Missing downloadable dancing character

[edit]

To Mr. IP address, your first edit destroyed the reference link which is why I reverted it. I checked the page and the wording the reviewer used is kinda confusing so I see where you're coming from now. At least you left the reference intact. Personally, I revisited the download page of the DDR for PC website waiting for that final character to be posted and as far as I saw never was. Then the page was taken offline the next time I checked. Which is why I would have never said anything without a reference to back it up but if that final download was posted, that was an awfully small window of opportunity to get it. Do you have any other sources on the matter you can add to the article to better clarify the statement? At the very least I'd be interested in knowing. --AeronPrometheus (talk) 06:48, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I looked for information, but it's kind of hard to find considering the fact that the character's name is "Jason" and there are a lot of real-life Jasons associated with DDR. But if you look at Stepmania character packs that have the characters from DDR PC, Jason is in there (here's a page that has him as an individual download: http://stepmaniathings.com/chars/misc2.php) I have the file for the character on a CD somewhere if you want me to upload it somewhere if you want the character for the actual PC version. I think he used to be there for a while when the downloadable characters first came out, but he got removed afterwards, I have no clue why.
Also, apologies for sounding kinda angry in the edit summary, but that's the second time I've had an edit reverted for removing false information that someone else posted on the internet somewhere in like a month. 71.192.187.99 (talk) 04:12, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No harm done. Communication is the key to making changes around here, sadly some disagree. I had never in my life seen that character until you just showed me, so this is news to me. Everyone else I talked to about the "mystery character" said they also never saw it go up and as I said earlier the entire DDR for PC site dropped off the face of the Earth shortly after and The Wayback Machine only has the splash page with nothing but broken images.
No need to prove anything to me, I had just never heard anything to the contrary and I misread the statement made in the GameFAQs review. The only reason I reverted your edit was because it killed the reference all together, technically making what you said unfounded.
