Dashilanr Subdistrict → Dashilan Subdistrict – Per WP:PINYIN. It matters little how locals pronounce it, the ending "-r" is not Pinyin. Google Maps also use "Dashilan". Timmyshin (talk) 05:25, 9 August 2018 (UTC)--Relisting. Dekimasuよ! 19:03, 16 August 2018 (UTC)
- Relisting comment. zh:大栅栏街道 appears to make specific reference to the current spelling. Can this be clarified further, since there were no other comments? Dekimasuよ! 19:03, 16 August 2018 (UTC)
- The '-r' could be an old typo (which may have happened outside Wikipedia) which has been continued with and recopied. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 04:35, 25 August 2018 (UTC)
- Move to Dashilan. Why the "subdistrict" when the article says it's a street? Google hits for "Dashilan subdistrict" and "Dashilanr subdistrict" both yield almost nothing, while the bare form has thousands of results. On the question of whether it should or sohuldn't have an r, sources seem somewhat split although I think the r-less version is more common. — Amakuru (talk) 10:31, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
- Google Translate says that 大栅栏 is pronounced "dà zhàlán" and 大柵欄 is pronounced "dà shānlán". Anthony Appleyard (talk) 13:32, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
- WP:PINYIN says to use Pinyin romanization "except where a non-pinyin form of a word is used by modern reliable secondary sources"-no sources have really been presented here. Dekimasuよ! 02:12, 28 August 2018 (UTC)
