DOB

[edit]

I don't feel we need to give any other age related info than her year of birth. I am removing her DOB and keeping the year in accordance with WP:DOB. We need to take care that we do not expose people's private details on Wikipedia. If the Federal Government have revealed PII against their own rules, it's not for us to go and do it also! - Chris.sherlock (talk) 06:12, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Is this a belated April fools' joke? Are you serious? Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and encyclopedias carry vital dates, and hundreds of thousands of Wikipedia articles do. None of WP:DOB supports your stance. Please restore what you removed. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 12:59, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
WP:BLPPRIMARY states that we shouldn’t use public documents when it comes to private information. WP:BLPPUBLIC specifically states that "In the case of public figures, there will be a multitude of reliable published sources, and BLPs should simply document what these sources say." can you point me to these other reliable sources?
May I also remind you that just because other articles exist with dates of birth does not mean that this article should also have a DOB. - Chris.sherlock (talk) 17:37, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You don't understand what primary sources are; the NGA isn't. There is no mandate to provide multiple sources; 1 reliable source will do. I'm going to restore her DoB. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 02:40, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
