Is there a reason it's called 'Den Norske Klub'? Den Norske Klubben would be the grammatically correct form. It sounds like the name was devised by someone with a very superficial knowledge of the language. Was it founded by actual Norwegians (if so then why the bad spelling?) Or non-Norwegians who weren't proficient in the language? Or is there another reason entirely? BodvarBjarki (talk) 17:36, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It was founded in 1887. Back then, written Norwegian was essentially identically to written Danish, and in Danish its name is neither misspelled nor gramatically incorrect. 2.107.68.46 (talk) 14:22, 11 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
