Legitimate or Illegitimate Descendents

[edit]

Is this meant to be a list of all male line descendents or only legitimate ones? Jaime de Borbón-dos-Sicilies y Landaluce (1.B.V.c.2.D.II.a.i.1.A) is illegitimate as is Carlos Hugo of Bourbon-Parma (1.B.VII.a.i.1.A.I.f.i.1.A).

Errors

[edit]

The Duke of Seville had plenty of male issue albeit by a morganatic marriage - they are listed here - http://www.chivalricorders.org/royalty/bourbon/bourbgen.htm .

Jacques of Bourbon-Parma 1922-1964 also had male issue, currently two sons and two grandsons.

Um, feel free to add any illegitimate descendants you can find, I didn't mean to exclude them. You're welcome to fix the errors as well. --Mark J (talk) 12:41, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding this page, it is one of the hardest pages to read in all of wikipedia. The table itself is very difficult as 'issue' from various fathers seems to be interspersed. Compare to pages such as Succession_to_the_British_throne which provides a very readable format. Bluejaguar~enwiki (talk) 14:11, 26 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

More to add

[edit]

Merge Not everyone from this list has been added to this article, but it was redirected (e.g.) Charlotte Aglaé of Orléans. Please integrate the two lists. —Justin (koavf)TCM19:08, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

legalism and the Spanish claim

[edit]
Legitimists regard this as invalid, because under the fundamental law of French monarchy neither a king nor his heirs can renounce the claim to a throne they hold but do not possess.

What does "hold but not possess" mean?

Does this mean a king cannot abdicate while he is de facto out of power? —Tamfang (talk) 00:48, 8 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
