This is not a good start. A magistrate is not a judge - at least not in any of the states or territories of the Commonwealth of Australia. The Chief Magistrate of Queensland is not a judge. Diane Fingleton was the Chief Magistrate of Queensland. Diane Fingleton is not and has never been a judge.
