History and sources

[edit]

Seems like just about all the history is copy paste from the marchfield.org website. I've gone through and copyedited a lot of it. Also, many of the references aren't noted anywhere, and since they are paper based it's hard to know where they should be noted. As it stands, all of the history is from a single source. Additional sources, or a clarification of the paper based sources would be great. Lvi56 (talk) 08:27, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

data on length of runways

[edit]

Looking at a close up in Google Earth the run way 14-32 does not seem to be as long as quoted. Perhaps distances listed in meter should be in feet. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.6.133.183 (talk) 21:31, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, you're right someone got it the wrong way round. Gavbadger (talk) 22:29, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

History section

[edit]

This article is about March Air Reserve Base, not about the 452d Air Mobility Wing (it has its own article). Yet, the entire history section from the Korean War on is a summary of foreign battles. Again, this article is about the base in California. Much of the history section needs to be deleted, or moved to other articles. Magnolia677 (talk) 04:17, 2 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

OTRS ticket with some interesting history

[edit]

If anyone with OTRS access is interested, a veteran sent us a recollection of base ops during his time at March. Kevin Rutherford (talk) 14:57, 6 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
