Eamonn Keane (actor)Eamon Keane – every reference on the article appears to indicate that there is only one N in his name 64.228.91.73 (talk) 18:16, 23 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment The sources cited appear to be incorrect as far as the spelling of Keane's first name is concerned. The Dictionary of Irish Biography entry opens: 'Keane, Eamonn Patrick (1925–90), actor, was born Edmund Keane on 30 March 1925 in Listowel, Co. Kerry, second among nine children of William Keane, national school teacher, from Listowel, and Hannah Keane (née Purtill), farmer's daughter, from Ballydonoghue, near Listowel.' In All of these people, a memoir by Keane's son, Fergal, the author renders his father's name as Éamonn. So if a change is required at all perhaps it should be to the latter spelling, i.e. an accent on the first letter? But in that case Eamonn Keane (actor), without the accent, would still redirect to the new title. So probably better to leave it as it is. Jim Bruce (talk) 08:26, 24 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
