Still alive?

[edit]

Can anyone confirm that Sir Ernest is still with us? He'd be 97 now. -- Jack of Oz ... speak! ... 22:33, 7 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The answer came by way of the Death Notices in today's The Age. He died yesterday, aged 98. -- Jack of Oz [your turn] 07:20, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sad news. –Moondyne 08:54, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I added information about Lee-Steere's other daughter, Vynka Lee-Steere. I am a community support worker and have been providing home-care for her. She's filled me in on parts of her life which I considered relevant to the page as there was previously no mention of her. -Joel Evans je84@tpg.com.au

Thanks. I was reading this obituary which has some useful stuff - they had five children. Moondyne (talk) 05:32, 20 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It's a weird honour database

[edit]

The original It's An Honour website has a grant date for his OBE of 1987, but the new one has it as 1977 (note the IDs are the same). Which is it? Note that he also has this one in 1963. Sam Wilson 08:47, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
