Fleet
[edit]There is a 737-300 to be operated for Fastjet in South Africa. I personally think it should be included in the fleet because it is to be operated by another airline, but still under the Fastjet brand. I am open to inputs and thoughts. Zundex (talk) 18:12, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
- In similar situations such as The Airbus A320's operated for Virgin Atlantic by Aer Lingus this doesn't happen. We don't usually add wet leased aircraft onto the fleet table. Thanks --JetBlast (talk) 18:29, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
"put on hold"
[edit]The intro describes two proposals that were explored then "put on hold" - isn't this weasel words for "talks went nowhere but we don't have the details"? Heenan73 (talk) 09:14, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
Destinations
[edit]The airline does not serve Jo'berg; so I have removed this from the table of destinations; but I have added a note to explain this. Heenan73 (talk) 11:56, 13 October 2013 (UTC)
- Johannesburg has now been readded to the table as there is now an start date for the service. Previously, the airline planned to fly that route in May 2013 but it had been postponed. All future destinations must have a firm start date in order to go into the table. Snoozlepet (talk) 21:31, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
Fastjet Airlines Limited / Fastjet plc
[edit]Considerable confusion in the article which cant decide if it is talking about "Fastjet plc" the British holding company or "Fastjet Airlines Limited" the Tanzanian Airline and in some parts of the article mix the two up. Perhaps we need a bit of a re-write to remove some of this confusion, thoughts? MilborneOne (talk) 11:19, 14 July 2015 (UTC)
I agree, Fastjet Zimbabwe should be operational soon too, to add to the confusion. To be honnest I think we can establish a similar model to Easyjet. Where they have just one page on "easyjet" which includes financial performance and a combined fleet and combined destinations. And have a list of the subsidiaries. Headquarters?
[edit]The airline itself stated it moved its head office to Johannesburg but I cannot find any address for the facility
Meanwhile the head office of Fastjet Plc is in London http://web.archive.org/web/20170927175629/http://www.fastjet.com/us/en/promotion-terms-conditions WhisperToMe (talk) 00:57, 6 February 2021 (UTC)
