Requested move 30 July 2018
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: consensus to move the pages to the proposed titles at this time, per the discussion below. Any possible merge of the book's article to the series is outside the scope of this close and should be discussed separately if necessary. Dekimasuよ! 20:46, 13 August 2018 (UTC)
– The TV show gets 7 times as many hits.[1] Unreal7 (talk) 13:31, 30 July 2018 (UTC)--Relisting. The editor whose username is Z0 16:08, 6 August 2018 (UTC)
- Support WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. The Duke of NonsenseWhat is necessary for thee?. 15:52, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
- Support - according to the book article, the book is based on the TV series so even without the page views, that made more sense. --Gonnym (talk) 16:32, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose 1, support 2 see no evidence that one has to be the absolute, and primary topic swaps aren't good for links. In ictu oculi (talk) 22:20, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
- So we'll fix them. Unreal7 (talk) 14:36, 31 July 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose 1, support 2 I still think it should be a disambiguation page. This is just recentism.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 02:28, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
- The book is MORE recent than the show. Unreal7 (talk) 17:35, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
- Support. The original series is the clear primary topic. To be honest, I'm not sure the book even needs its own article. It should be merged into the TV series article. It's just the book of a programme; there are countless examples. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:49, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
- Neutral 1st; Support 2nd per above. It might make more sense for a disambiguation page to occupy the basename (WP:NOPRIMARYTOPIC). If not, I guess the TV series would be the primary... Paintspot Infez (talk) 22:32, 6 August 2018 (UTC)
- Support. Clear primary topic over the book. —Xezbeth (talk) 08:22, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
- Support both moves per nom and discussion participants, but oppose the second move without the first as an added inconvenience for readers. There is no need for a DAB page that will cause 100% of readers to make an extra click; nb WP:2DABPRIMARY. — AjaxSmack 23:36, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
- Support 1 but Neutral on 2. Definitely should not be a DAB page. The book is trivia and should be merged into the TV series article. QuiteUnusual (talk) 07:04, 8 August 2018 (UTC)
- Support per nom and support all votes. Dreamy Jazz talk | contribs 21:52, 12 August 2018 (UTC)

Barcode embedded in background graphics
[edit]The series uses barcodes as graphics. The main "Food Unwrapped" logo has a mockup of a barcode that looks like a UPC-E (USA style 8 digit) or private short barcode (as used by Sainsbury's and M&S for their own brand products), but with letters underneath where the numbers would be; clearly not a valid use of a recognised barcode symbology. (Would be interesting to see if it would scan and what numbers would result)
Elsewhere from time to time (in later series) a second barcode is seen which seems to be 978-1-932698-13-8/1-932698-13-2 (and in valid barcode symbology for an EAN 13 representation of an ISBN). It's not easy to catch the whole barcode on screen, often it is only partially visible. ISBN 9781932698138 maps to a humour magazine: Cabinet Magazine
