The "War Crimes" section is primitive anti-German Propaganda

[edit]

Hossbach was responsible for planning and executing the operation at Ozarichi to set up typhus camps in the path of the advancing Russian army so as to cause a typhus epidemic amongst the soldiers.[3] The population was rounded up into camps with no shelter and patients suffering from typhus were deliberately brought into the camps. The Russian army managed to avoid an epidemic by deploying a recently developed typhus vaccine. The civilian deaths have been estimated at over 10,000.[citation needed]

Before Tetracyclin was invented, installing typhus camps was the only possible life saving measurement to prevent a large scale epidemic. And "deploying a recently developped typhus vaccine" is an absolutely idiotic lie. Such a vaccine never existed and it still does not exist today. 91.66.81.150 (talk) 11:38, 29 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Help

[edit]

This is a terribly poor article needing lots of attention. It is hardly what one could call encyclopedic. Anyone out there? Dr. Dan 19:41, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unfinished article

[edit]

The article is, on some reasons, rated as of low-importance, yet the man was military high-ranked and had contacts with the most important Nazi-German politicians. It would be very interesting to know about his destiny after the WW2.

Please add some more information, if you happen to find any. 86.110.32.119 (talk) 15:24, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Different version of the camp story

[edit]

https://ww2gravestone.com/people/hossbach-friedrich/ seems to repeat some part of the camps story, and offers a little more post-war information. I don't know that it's a reliable source, though.--Prosfilaes (talk) 08:58, 7 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
