[edit]I thought there would be more sources and information on this tomb but I didn't come across any that were more reputable than the Cambridge History. This is just a basic start. Please help it out if you can. Tortfeasor 05:04, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Skeleton in Japan's cupboard
[edit]The Observer newspaper of London reported under the heading above on 9th April 1989 that Japanese archaeologists had made the unsettling discovery that the Fujinoki tomb was of clear Korean origin. The tomb contained a nobleman's pointed, gilded bronze shoes with tiny rings, and gilt-bronze crown, which were almost identical to exhibits in the Korean national Museum in Seoul. They said this contradicted the official early history of Japan, which claimed the imperial dynasty dated back to the origin of the nation, and was not of Korean descent. Koreans were said to have claimed that investigation of ancient imperial tombs had been forbidden for fear of revealing those Korean origins. NRPanikker (talk) 14:17, 23 October 2016 (UTC)
