I've been prompted to remove some information by a recent edit in which the order of the kata was changed. They didn't appear to be any particular order either before or after the change but I'm sure someone will enlighten me. In any event, as the kata are all named below, I didn't see the point in repeating the information.--Ykraps (talk) 07:37, 28 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Karate Kid

[edit]

Mr. Miyagi in the Karate Kid series was named after Chojun Miyagi, and he seems to fight/teach in a gōjū-ryū style (according to others, as I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference, probably). I thought that deserved mention, but figured I’d bring it up here before just parachuting in and modifying an article that so much care has been put into. I’ll wait a little while to see if anyone has any objections/suggestions before doing anything.

And don’t worry, I would be sure to provide references as appropriate. This is not original research. Chuck (talk) 18:22, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
