Errors and omisions[edit]

The page is weak as it relies on sources that are full of inaccuracies (eg Jad Adams' claim that her "funeral was in the ruined chancel of the priory"; Tommy Mackay's statement that she died at Ardoch; the V&A being unaware that her husband was well aware of her identity and wrote to her as Carrie (family papers in the NLS)). And why no biography after Faulkner West? - surely Alexander Maitland's 1983 biography, "Robert And Gabriela Cunninghame Graham" or Anne Taylor's "The People's Laird" (2005) which had input from members of the Horsfall family - and why a book review rather than quote from the biography by Jauncey 2023?). There is a lot of work to be done here if the page is to do her any justice at all. Inchtalla (talk) 10:24, 17 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Inchtalla, thanks for this. Please feel free to make said corrections and additions! I created the page because I thought she should be represented on Wikipedia and was a fascinating character, using the sources available to me at the time and with the hope that improvements would be made - as is Wikipedia’s way! Hopefully your suggestions can provide the basis for this - I did my best with what I was able to find at the time! Madeleineog (talk) 07:47, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
