Pronunciation

[edit]

Could someone add the pronunciation of "Givaudan". Patiwat 23:38, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know IPA but if it helps somebody else figure it out, it's like Giv-A-Dan. Thats "Giv" (like give without the e), "A" (the sound of a, but a little softer perhaps), "Dan" (like the short form of Daniel, but also a little like "don" when some people say it).Wjousts 14:05, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Also see the interview with the CEO (in the references section) for the correct pronunciation. Wjousts 13:42, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The pronounciation is not Giv-a-Dan. It is "Jhiv-o-don". It is a Swiss company and the pronounciation is French.

The pronounciation is French so dont even try until you have heard somebody (employee) saying it right. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 185.46.214.115 (talk) 08:19, 21 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV Language

[edit]

When editing this article please note: As per WP:PEA, you may not introduce words such as "World Leading" without citing a reliable source saying so directly. Marokwitz (talk) 18:37, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wirral Plant

[edit]

I've removed the information about the Wirral plant again. It's not noteworthy. It's not a large plant, it's a former Quest site (so it's closure is not not unexpected) and several other larger and more noteworthy plants have closed. I don't think it's appropriate for this page to be a list of plants closed and plants opened. I haven't seen anything similar on any other company pages. I suspect non-NPOV at work here. Sorry. I did not notice another editor had already undone most of the conflicted edits.Lostinspacetime1949 (talk) 13:29, 15 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
