[edit]Well first gob is not heavy metal. Gob is punk, punk rock, and rock. DO NOT PUT POP PUNK. User:kevinwashere
- Well, i hate to say it, but GOB's earlier stuff is pop punk. They aren't heavy metal, but there most recent album is considered alternative metal.- -[The Spooky One] | [t c r] 12:35, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- I have gone through tons of music genres for no aparent reason and come to know everything within a reasonable range of D-beat to Dance Punk to Industrial Metal to Nu Metal, and thus; I know what genre Gob is. Pop Punk combines elements of Power Pop, and Bubblegum Pop to Punk Rock, this style is used by bands like Treble Charger, Blink-182, and Sum 41. The three bands I just mentioned have an eerily similar sound too that of Gob. This means that Gob is Pop Punk. Gobs Lates work though- Muertos Vivos, is more Hardcore than that of their earlier Pop Punk Material. Take Underground for example, it has a more alternative Metal Sound, though because of the remains of Pop Punk in the Guitar sound of the song, it is a more Hardcore Punk song. Another song off the album, We're All Dying is far less Punk Oriented, with a more aggeressive Alternative metal feel. this information has given me the right to say the following: Genre: Pop Punk, Hardcore Punk, Alternative Metal. I agree, Gob is clearly pop punk and perhaps we should put a note somewhere on this page that this Gob, the Gob of this article, is not to be confused with Gob, a hardcore / powerviolence band from Nevada. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.168.193.187 (talk) 03:07, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
