Neutrality

[edit]

The section about his goals for Inter etc. seem to glorify him a little (example: "with a splendid overhead cross, and scored a brilliant curling freekick"). I have added a POV tag. Callumm (talk) 20:03, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File:Pandevdddd.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]
An image used in this article, File:Pandevdddd.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

Albanian origin

[edit]

According to 5 reliable sources he is of Albanian origin and Local hero can't approve it because it seems like he is a nationalist and probably he has a problem with Albanians.Bamboopanda2 (talk) 12:47, 14 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't speculate about my motives. Firstly, you don't get to keep adding contested content to the article until there is consensus for adding it. Next, about your "reliable sources": one is a dead link and two of them appear to be the same text. So, you've really got three of these "reliable" sources. They're all written in Turkish, so we're relying on Google translate which could be inaccurate. They're all very short pieces of text on sports websites - why would such a short piece on a sports player find it necessary to include his ethnic origin? And the authors of these short articles are not given, so we don't even know who made this stuff up. Sorry, try again. --Local hero talk 06:36, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Firstly I was born in Istanbul, Turkey of Albanian origin and secondly as a Turkish I can say that the majorit of sources are reliable.Bamboopanda2 (talk) 07:14, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It is not up to editors to decide if sources are reliable. The sources don't even have authors name, so they don't seem very realiable at all. FkpCascais (talk) 12:03, 16 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Determining the terminology according to the Prespa Agreement

[edit]

Hello,

I would like to let people know where and how "Macedonian" and "North Macedonia" should be used in this article, because someone has already written that Goran Pandev is a North Macedonian footballer.

According to the Treaty of Prespa of 2018, which changed the name of the Republic of Macedonia to the Republic of North Macedonia, the term "Macedonian" can be used for multiple spheres, including for the people of North Macedonia. Thus, Goran Pandev is a Macedonian football player, but not a North Macedonian football player. The Government of North Macedonia[1] as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs[2] have both published a guide on the Internet in which they emphasize that "North Macedonian" should not be used.

I leave this message here because it is possible that some Wikipedia users may want to intentionally change "Macedonian" to "North Macedonian", so let this message be for the moderators to know. Goran Pandev is a very famous person from North Macedonia nd some people may mistakenly learn from Wikipedia that it is not a problem to use "North Macedonian", but it is actually offensive to Macedonians.

I mean they are not even Macedonians so no reason to be offended Pamepoutanes (talk) 13:51, 1 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
