The result of the move request was: no consensus ~ Amkgp 💬 17:05, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

GossageGossage (company) – Not a clear primary topic. There are four people with surname Gossage (Goose Gossage, Bill Gossage, Howard Gossage, and Lucy Gossage), and both Goose and Howard get significantly more page views. So I propose moving the company and making Gossage a dab page. Joseph2302 (talk) 15:15, 5 June 2020 (UTC) Relisting. buidhe 01:02, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per nom. The company is obscure relative to some of the people. BD2412 T 21:32, 14 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per WP:PRECISE. No one would expect any of the people with the surname to appear under this title, and the fact that this article gets only about 6 views per day shows there is not a great deal of confusion. The hatnotes are just as good as a dab page for the few people who wind up at the wrong place. Station1 (talk) 05:38, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • As I mentioned, very few, no more than 6 per day on average. And how many are searching for Howard or Goose by typing "Gossage"? Also no more than 6 per day. So why bother with a move that makes virtually no difference to anyone? Station1 (talk) 11:31, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • I frequently search for people by surnames, when I can't remember their first names. And I'm sure many other people would do. And if both are being done 6 per day like you hypothesise, then that means I'm correct in asserting there is no clear primary topic, in which case a DAB should be used. • Not both; all uses together are no more than 6 per day[1] (actually fewer when you allow for incoming external and internal links). And a dab is used; the hatnotes serve precisely as a dab page would, without inconveniencing anyone searching for the one article on WP that uses the natural title.
