[edit]This article consists of just a few lines, as of this timestamp. Any expansion, with reliable sources, would greatly benefit it. Thanks. Refsworldlee(chew-fat)(eds) 03:15, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
- However, I have given it a makeover myself. I am removing it from Wikipedia:Requests for expansion. Refsworldlee(chew-fat)(eds) 21:18, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
I haven't deleted it yet but the reference to a last match in the Football Conference North at Harrogate is almost certainly a mistake - probably confusion with a referee of similar name. Barber had retired and moved to Spain and even if he were still in England it seems almost inconceivable that a former international referee would take charge of a one-off game like this. If he had done so I would expect it to be fairly newsworthy and to be referenced somewhere. I feel this inclusion should be deleted unless some more reliable source is forthcoming soon.Alan Briscoe 22:57, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- (Belatedly) Soccerbase only has one referee called Barber in its database, and it is always possible but not necessarily newsworthy that he covered the match at short notice whilst visiting England again. In the absence of sources proving that he could not have officiated, I would rather leave it in - if true it is certainly notable and of interest. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 18:11, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
- Referee for this game was a Sean Barber, not Graham - http://archive.worcesternews.co.uk/2005/3/9/20966.html WCR4 6 (talk) 00:07, 19 December 2008 (UTC)
