CN colour
[edit]Do we really need to have the Floquil paint #? The average reader is not going to understand that and CN refers to it as white. That old fashioned very light gray is from the old color schemes now its all about visability. The only gray CN uses in the NA scheme is in the map. Those numbers are not encylclopedic for an article like this and does not conform to Wiki standards; without a citation to a specific inside refrence this is considered original reasearch. Board
[edit]This text; The Chicago board, also known as the Elsdon board, operates out of Markham yard (CN/IC yard). cannot be verified and could be original reaserch. It also does not have a neutral point of view since the average reader does not know what a 'board' is in railroad terms. It also does not explain a historical gap with dates why it maybe called the Elsdon board since Elsdon was closed by 1990 and CN did not acquire the Markham facility until it acquired IC in 1999. CN operations are now at Markham but since the user that added this has negative comments on their talk page about other edits and has been blocked from Wikipedia this text has been removed until it can be clarified.173.122.113.169 (talk) 01:04, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
Steam
[edit]The lead has become cluttered and reapeats on itself it used to be consise. The last steam service was moved to history and did not have verification of railfans. The final trip drew many fans and subsaquent charters later. Unfortunatly someone had dumped a Trivia section withput incorporating all the info.184.227.111.38 (talk) 06:05, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
- I've noticed that you have made the move of the text in the article, but noticed that you had changed the date without citing properly. The information provided before your update should have already had the proper citation. Can you provide a citation showing the reason to correct the information?
It doesn't matter the article has been expanded and their are 3 sources for it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.121.255.204 (talk) 01:02, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

Dates
[edit]This article is about the Grand Trunk Western Railroad Company which was incorporated on November 1, 1928. That date is cited in both Dorin's and Hofsommer's books about GTW which were used as references for the expansion of this article. The end date should still be "present". This RR company is still incorporated. The US Surface Transportation Board in decisions still refers to GTW as "Grand Trunk Western Railroad Company (GTW), an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of Canadian National Railway Company."
