I don't know where the information stems from which says that this transfer isn't official until July 1.

Manchester United have confirmed the completion of the transfer today (June 11). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Byan85 (talk • contribs) 15:05, 11 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The issue is not whether the contract has been signed or not, it's that the summer transfer window is not open until 1 July an as such no transfer can be completed in England until that date. Walter Görlitz (talk) 16:44, 11 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
