HSN (disambiguation)HSN – Basically, I'm not sure if Home Shopping Network or Hereditary sensory neuropathy should be considered the primary topic for this acronym. (HSN currently targets Home Shopping Network.) And if that is the case, the ambiguous title HSN should be the title of this disambiguation page. Steel1943 (talk) 00:54, 14 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • If you disambiguate the incoming links beforehand, you're good to go... :) --Joy [shallot] (talk) 18:55, 14 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
    • Incoming links are done. Cheers! bd2412 T 13:47, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
      • Most of the incoming links appear to have been from a single template which I updated yesterday. olderwiser 14:14, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
        • Great. A Google Books search for HSN does not indicate that the current target is the primary topic. Support. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 07:30, 17 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose; I don't know how often HSN is ever used for anything other than the Home Shopping Network. I doubt it's possible to prove anything but the network being the primary topic. Red Slash 03:59, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, given the importance of the topic of Hereditary sensory neuropathy and the existence of other things using the same abbreviation. bd2412 T 13:19, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak oppose. Recent page views do indicate that Home Shopping Network is the primary topic. Home Shopping Network has more than twice as many visits as Hereditary sensory neuropathy and Hereditary sensory and autonomic neuropathy combined. Also, the proportion of hits between HSN and HSN (disambiguation) suggests relatively few readers go to the dab page after following the redirect. olderwiser 14:14, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
    • I'd still say that the proportion of the most popular item's viewership that comes in through the acronym isn't large enough to offset the long term significance of the other meanings. (Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not an index of popular things on the Internet.) --Joy [shallot] (talk) 07:37, 17 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. One topic having twice as many views as another on a dab page with 4 articles is simply not enough to establish a primary topic using the page view statistics. Vegaswikian (talk) 21:05, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Why is the University of South-Eastern Norway listed here?[edit]

There is no mention in the article of the name being abbreviated to "HSN," only USN. I'm pretty sure this is because they changed their name, but since none of the articles call the university "Høgskolen i Sørøst-Norge" or abbreviate its name to "HSN" why should the articles be linked here?
