why not merge?

[edit]

Can someone please help me understand why this article should not be merged with Armadale, Western Australia or Perth, Western Australia? There are no references, no indication why Harrisdale is notable on its own and even the article itself says "little is known about the area." Tim Pierce (talk) 19:13, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Because it's a separate suburb to Armadale, and theoretically all suburbs of Perth should have their own articles. Note that the word "suburb" has a different meaning in Australia from that in the U.S. If the page were to be redirected anywhere, the only sensible target would be City of Armadale, its local government area. However, since you wrote that message, some info has been added to the article. Also see my message to WikiProject Western Australia for help on this article. OK, thanks for explaining, and thanks for your work improving this article. Tim Pierce (talk) 11:37, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
