Apparently Diehardgamefan isn't considered a reliable source according to this?--Kung Fu Man (talk) 22:16, 11 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"summarize-section"

[edit]

I don't think the sections need to be summarized. They probably need to be expanded. This is the only article in which all 3 sections are merged. Blake (Talk·Edits) 15:19, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Right now it's too in-universe, and as a result comes across in an odd tone from the rest of the article. The text needs to be summarized, but also written in a way that someone doesn't need to do a ton of research to understand what they're reading.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 15:45, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"First appeared"

[edit]

While there is no source indicating that Haunter has made its debut, the source in question only states that it available in Red and Blue. There is no indication of what year the games came out in the source, and while the games seem to appear in Japan first in 1996 with Pocket Monsters Red and Green, an appearance in the game does not indicate its the first appearance. As I doubt we'll find specifies on this, I would propose re-stating it to something like "Haunter appears in the first Pokemon game" which is infinitely easier to sort, and follows WP:STICKTOSOURCE (" Take care not to go beyond what the sources express or to use them in ways inconsistent with the intention of the source, such as using material out of context. In short, stick to the sources."). Andrzejbanas (talk) 19:04, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Andrzejbanas I can see that argument, as Yellow does throw a wrench in the works as it were, and I'll change it here. But ultimately may be better to bring up on WP:POKEMON or WP:VGCHAR too, as it feels like a sweeping change that would need to be applied to most Gen 1 articles with that consideration.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 19:18, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Fair! Yeah not trying to throw your GA into a loop, I'll bring it up in their as I wasn't aware it was an ongoing deal. Andrzejbanas (talk) 19:30, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Kung Fu Man:, I made some slight tweaks to this and just want to make sure we are still on the same page. I think this covers the bases, but if it gets your okay, I'll each out to the WikiProjects as you've suggested. Andrzejbanas (talk) 19:53, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
