Given name Harris[edit]

Brewis' given name is well established, not only in the cited source, but also reliable sources such as BBC and Irish Independent. Cheers, --SVTCobra 16:33, 11 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

oh no 24.255.55.124 (talk) 06:09, 23 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
His name is Harry——see this post on Twitter where he states that Harris is "slightly wrong" https://twitter.com/Hbomberguy/status/1738000386353717710 Titanc13 (talk) 08:27, 23 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Harris Bomberguy is a psuedonym used for humorous purposes.
His real name is Harry not Harris. 2.30.180.212 (talk) 10:04, 23 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Update the portrait?[edit]

He has been bald for two years now, has grown a beard and just overall looks quite differently from the current picture of him in 2019. Does it qualify a significant change in appearance to justify the change of his portrait? BidBux (talk) 05:24, 20 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A chance should be necessary but is there a Commons photo available for him that reflects his current appearance? Fallbackintoreality (tc) 17:58, 3 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
BidBux, I'd recommend you contact Harris himself via e-mail if you can't find a current portrait of him and request that he releases an image of himself on Commons via the VRT process. — Davest3r08 >:) (talk) 15:30, 27 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Aquaman meme[edit]

I've managed to find two sources referencing Hbomberguy's viral Aquaman quote, but the articles are mainly about Ben Shapiro instead of Hbomberguy. Does it warrant being added? Cereally8 (talk) 09:43, 28 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The Forbes source is by a contributor, which, per WP:RSP, is not reliable. Not sure about the other though, so maybe WP:RSN can help. But either way, one source is not enough. Spinixster (chat!) 12:04, 28 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

REDIRECT TO WHO, BEN?[edit]

as of me writing this, "james somerton" redirects to the section about video that was about other people and then about him, as he has no article (yet). but should the redirect to a "sorta notable" living person's name actually exist if it doesn't lead to an article about that person? cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 20:52, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Somerton had an article, but it was merged into this one for a lack of notability. I'd say it is worth keeping the redirect because it contains the most amount of info about Somerton that Wikipedia has. Also, good joke! Thanks, Slamforeman (talk) 21:55, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
so in theory, it's simultaneously
  • a good idea to wait, because the "recent events" might cause him to become somewhat more notable
  • not a good idea to wait, but also not exactly possible to delete it, because most of his notability will inevitably involve all the homework copying and woman disrespecting
so... i guess the best option is to let it stay? there's really nothing that can be done without looking stupidly reckless, as far as i know cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 22:27, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with @Slamforeman and also wanted to add that there is a BLP section about exactly this, WP:BLP1E, which when applied to this case says we should not have an article about Somerton and instead have a redirect to a subsection of another article. Meteorname (talk) 22:36, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As reported today, Somerton may have committed suicide. That has not been confirmed, but if it is true and gets coverage by RS (right now it is only covered by Dexerto and Sportskeeda), this may give Somerton sufficient coverage. Cortador (talk) 20:37, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
he WHAT
i did some looking and cross-referencing in wp:prs, and found
i'm not a pro at source-checking for a guy i've known about for less time than it would take for a baby to form teeth, but i think it might be too soon, so i'd recommend waiting until he's confirmed not alive cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 20:58, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As I said, let's wait for RS to report (or not report) on this. Cortador (talk) 21:24, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Somerton's second apology video[edit]

I previously added a line in the Somerton section about the second apology video he uploaded (and deleted a day or so later), but my initial source was considered unreliable (fair), so I replaced it with the Citation Needed thingie. It was brought to my attention that's not the right way to go about it. So I was wondering if someone here has a reliable source for this. Due to more recent events, it's become quite difficult to find sources about the second apology video. CrimsonRainFlower (talk) 15:53, 16 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
