"Italian Player of the Year 1964"

Numerous German texts contain the notion than in 1964 Haller was the first foreign player to be Italian Player of the Year. For one, there is no Italian source known to me that mentions that. Secondly, if such a statement is to be re-introduced in the WP:EN article, it should at least include an idea who actually was supposed to have bestowed the honour.
