Karl-Hermann Knoblauch → Hermann Knoblauch —
- This is the name that the German Wikipedia article uses. I have never seen any reference that uses a hyphenated first name for this person which must be very rare for any German name, though the practise is common enough in French. Seanwal111111 attempted this move the wrong way two years ago. It was reverted because of the method he used, but the move operation itself seems a very good idea. I thought this was non-controversial, but I see (after I redid the move not knowing it had already been done once) someone has undone it. I found three references, ADB, German Wikipedia and an old American encyclopedia, that all called him Hermann Knoblauch, so I figured the move was uncontroversial and the hyphenated name was puzzling. It would be appreciated if an accessible reference of some repute that uses the hyphenated name which could be put in the article if the hyphenated name is going to be used. I notice linking to the hyphenated name is very popular, but this certainly doesn't seem to be reflected in the article itself, and should be. Bob Burkhardt (talk) 21:54, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
