Hitcher / Hitchhiker[edit]

Shouldn't the disambig page for The Hitchhiker by merged with the disambig page for The Hitcher as they mean the same thing? VenomousConcept (talk) 17:00, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

– As pointed out a week ago under Talk:Hitchhiker (disambiguation)#Hitcher / Hitchhiker above, there is also a third similar disambiguation page — The Hitcher — which has, as its first entry, a link to hitchhiking, but does not emphasize it as the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. There are sufficient entries at the two nominated dab pages to allow them stand-alone positions without the need for the parenthetical qualifier "(disambiguation)". Anyone who types "Hitchhiker" or "Hitchhike" in the course of researching the concept of thumbing a ride, will still see the link to "Hitchhiking" as each dab page's initial entry. — Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 17:49, 11 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. I see no evidence of the absence of a clear primary topic for the nominated terms. BD2412 T 18:10, 11 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose This is a perfectly fine primary redirect. 162.208.168.92 (talk) 19:09, 11 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thumbs down. There is a primary topic, and it's in the first sentence, as it should be. Clarityfiend (talk) 06:29, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. Clear primary redirects. -- Necrothesp (talk) 10:13, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. as all above In ictu oculi (talk) 10:32, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
