Directory Entry AfD
[edit]Whereas there is a case for the largest rail terminals, such as 新宿駅 and 東京駅, inclsuion of smaller stations would in effect make Wikipedia a directory, which is against WP:NOT#DIR.--Shakujo 08:55, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
- WP:NOT#DIR speaks against making a quotes database, having articles on every person and every business (or website for that matter), including phone numbers, or conducting business on Wikipedia. A train station is part of a public transportation network, is not just part of a business, has a fixed location and an architecture - similar to roads and bridges. Some train stations also define the name of their surrounding area. --GunnarRene 17:11, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
