Photographs of town[edit]

It would be great to get some current photos of town on the page. Anybody have some to share? Dalmatian Mommy 00:36, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Today I added the Town Seal, but there are no other photos on this article page. I guess I'll have to go out and take them myself.--Dalmatian Mommy 14:49, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

Local Government[edit]

The change to town manager should be added to the Government section with some details about the transition from the old form of government.--Dalmatian Mommy 06:10, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Suggested topic: Town Meeting[edit]

This section could include info on town meeting, board of selectmen, and the many committees in town who help run Hopkinton.--Dalmatian Mommy 07:17, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

History of Hopkinton[edit]

I've only been in town a few years. Any long term resident history buffs out there who could write this section?--Dalmatian Mommy 08:19, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

Merge from Hopkinton (CDP)[edit]

I think that the article Hopkinton (CDP), Massachusetts should be merged into this article. I am not sure why there are separate articles in the first place, as this is not something you see regularly on WP. If there need be separate mention of the CDP vs. the overall town, then it can fit within a section on the main Hopkinton page. The two articles on their own are sparse enough as it is, without separating them. I've already put the suggestion on the CDP page. —GodhevalT C W 15:45, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Sounds good to me. Go for it. AJD (talk) 19:41, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
Merge makes sense. --SubSeven (talk) 14:13, 20 March 2012 (UTC)
By all means, do it. You can take a look at the CDPs in New Hampshire to see one way that it's been done. --Ken Gallager (talk) 12:40, 10 April 2012 (UTC)
Definitely support this. There's no point in having separate articles for two very similar things. --Kelpso1 (talk) 05:53, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

List of historic homes[edit]

I see we have a very long list of historic homes in table format. The table is sortable. We can't split it up without wrecking the sortability. There is no template to wrap the table into columns such that overall sortability is retained. If we put it in a bulleted list sortability also is lost. And yet, the table is so long it breaks up the article. I therefore would like to run this proposal by you: offload the table into a new article, "List of historic homes in Hopkinton, Massachusetts." In that way the article can be indefinitely long and entirely sortable. What do you think?Branigan 14:38, 6 November 2012 (UTC)

Separate article for HCAM?[edit]

Hello! I was wondering if a separate article for Hopkinton Community Access & Media (HCAM) should be created. There is not even a section devoted to the television station or its channels on this page as of the moment, and I believe HCAM should have its own page for many reasons. For example, the station's work does not just appear on its own channels; it has worked on Nintendo's Flipnote Hatena (the series TeenChat, specifically), on YouTube-exclusive series, on its own website for children's programming (The Author Side), and much more. If HCAM's own page was created, there could be sections on history, both of its channels, the HCAM studio, and on each of its cancelled and currently-running television series. If we cannot create a separate article, a full section would do. Happy editing, Squiddaddy (talk) 21:46, 15 October 2014 (UTC)
