Fair use rationale for Image:Cover39.gif

[edit]

Image:Cover39.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Vandalism

[edit]

This page is being repeatedly vandalized. Since I have not seen the episode, I do not know the ending- but if someone could clear up the TV section it would help a lot. 69.137.129.146 (talk) 19:16, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe I'm going insane, but...

[edit]

Unless I read the books totally wrong...

  • In the book, Marcus has a mom and dad. In the TV version, Marc is only shown with a single mom who dates people who are lesbians

(with no explanation of where Marc's real father is or whether or not he's alive).

Where did it mention his dad? I don't remember the book mentioning him.

  • Aunt Beena is referred to as Aunt Benna in the TV version.

Her name is Benna in the books, too.

  • In the TV version, Aunt Benna doesn't personally come over to give Marc the shrunken head. The shrunken head is delivered in the mail and Aunt Benna calls Marc about the trip to Baladora (which is revealed later to be a computer-generated message done by Benna's colleagues).

Unless I read that 'trivia' wrong, it's saying Benna came personally to give Marcus his shrunken head. She didn't - her assistant did.

  • In the book, Marc keeps his magic powers. In the TV version, Aunt Benna hypnotizes Marc to forget he has jungle magic (because kahelhia is too dangerous for anyone to possess).

Wait, what? It specifically says she takes the Jungle magic away from him. And, whats 'Kahelhia'? Is it talking about 'Kah-lee-ah'? That's how it's spelled in the book.

I didn't want to go ahead and change it, because I'm sort of hoping I'm wrong, and the trivia didn't make that many errors. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.147.19.105 (talk) 01:41, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

All Wrong

[edit]
  • His name's Mark, not Marcus or Marc.
  • "Aunt Beena"'s name is Aunt Benna.
  • Mark doesn't keep his powers.
  • What is kahelahia? It's Jungle Magic, and the magic word is Kah-lee-ah.
  • Benna doesn't give Mark the head personally! Carolyn did, who I don't see anywhere on this entire article. The entire plot is that Mark has to find Benna!

And tons of other mistakes. Vandalism? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.168.231.55 (talk) 15:46, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
