Merger

[edit]

A comment on the suggestion that the article Io be merged with the article IO: I personally feel that the list of Io names that are not acronyms should perhaps stay as they are under Io. Any items listed on the Io page which are acronyms should definitely go onto the IO page. Anyone else have an opinion? Invertzoo (talk) 15:48, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that they should be separate pages. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 07:49, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree; the average user is unlikely to expect Wikipedia to be sensitive to such minute changes. -- Jfeen (talk) - 15:53, 04 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Invertzoo, seeing "Io (moon)" near the end was a bit odd, I expected "io" to go straight there, with a link to a disambig page. Also, JFeen, each disamb page can link to the other at the top. Huw Powell (talk) 15:50, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In my view "Io" should point to the moon, which already offers a link to a disambig page, "for other uses". The moon is the main object that is actually called Io, not an abbreviation or acronym. On the other hand, I'm fine with "IO" pointing to the disambig. Given the discussion above, I'll be bold and do that. 220.210.181.80 (talk) 22:26, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. I suspect the moon is the primary topic for Io, so that we really just need an otheruses template leading to a disambiguation page. All the dablinks have been cleared at this point, so there is no immediate evidence to back this up. If anyone else checks for future dablinks for Io, I'd be interested to get their feedback on the results.--Kubigula (talk) 04:38, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Where is the producer I_o?

It's honestly quite difficult to search for because of that underscore, but I think there's no wiki article for this person. You could always request one at WP:REQ if you think they are notable. -- Fyrael (talk) 06:19, 8 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Just found out someone else commented here, oh well. I_o is listed on the article mau5trap as deceased. But spending more time with how editors handled the list it turns out the only people with disambiguation mentions are the ones with articles. -GoatLordServant(Talk-Contribs) 13:49, 11 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussion in progress
