Jack Grisham Goth Nav Box Inclusion

[edit]

Hello, I am opening a discussion with my fellow editors to include a "Goth Subculture" nav box for Jack Grisham's wikipedia page. I have added one yet it is being constantly removed. It is in my honest opinion that the inclusion of this nav box will be beneficial to wikipedia users as it includes the gothic subculture into Jack Grisham's biography and accurately documents a sometimes overlooked aspect of his and the True Sounds of Liberty's musical contributions to history. Please discuss and post your opinions here on this talk page and after a consensus has been reached, we can further its' inclusion. Thank you. Earl E. Smith (talk) 19:52, 25 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to tell the reader more about Grisham's goth aspects, you are coming at the problem backwards. Rather than add a bunch of links to the bottom of the page, what you should do is add relevant text to the body of the article, text which summarizes the things that have been published about Grisham in reliable sources. Only after that is done will any goth-flavored navbox become appropriate. And even then it's questionable because of the great number of irrelevant or tangential links it would introduce. Binksternet (talk) 20:24, 25 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Binksternet is correct, any goth aspect of Grisham, beyond his music, would have to be addressed in the article before that navbox would be appropriate to post here. - FlightTime (open channel) 20:40, 25 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Deathrock is a form of goth subculture and it is already addressed. T.S.O.L. Is a Deathrock/Punk Rock band which he is the vocalist of. Earl E. Smith (talk) 22:25, 25 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You all like wikipedia, right? here is a wikipedia article link about deathrock, a genre T.S.O.L. is in. [1] read it then come back and argue with me that it shouldn't be included in T.S.O.L.'s singer's wikipedia page. This is like saying the Beatles shouldn't be considered Rock because they had a Mod Style and just calling them a mod band and completely excluding them from rock and roll music.Earl E.
