The "email"

[edit]

Just to explain the reversion, the 'released by e-mail' story is contradicted by the BBC ("It is understood West Ham co-owner David Sullivan spoke to Collins before an email was sent to the player."), and Claret & Hugh ("It all arose because he had been informed by e mail that his contract had come to an end – not that he was necessarily out on his ear …simply that he was a free agent"). (I'm not suggesting C&H should be considered a reliable source BTW. It isn't). This seems to be a case of the tabloid press jumping on something and outlets like "Joe" (which seems to be another wannabe SportsBible or whatever it's called) rereporting it. As such, I think this should probably fall under the same rules as for citing tabloids on BLPs. Nzd (talk) 16:04, 21 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure the email aspect is that important. Either way, [1] he's going.--Egghead06 (talk) 02:51, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Egghead06: Yeah, that seems inevitable. Shame.. Nzd (talk) 12:45, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
