Goofy photo
[edit]The infobox had a photo of Brunvand wearing some sort of weird ski goggles, or something like that, but had no explanation as to why. I have removed the picture, because it was confusing and didn't even show what he looked like. - DavidWBrooks (talk) 16:10, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
- Unless you have a better foto, I'm in favor of restoring the one you removed. It shows most of his face, and it shows that he has a sense of humor. Plazak (talk) 16:28, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
- At the very least, it needs an explanation, although we don't usually put captions in infoboxes. One immediate thought is that the guy is blind and needs special glasses, which isn't the case, but the extreme oddity of the photo raises that question. If he's not blind, why is he wearing those things with a suit indoors? That is very unusual behavior, so if we're going to highlight it (the photo is the first thing that a reader sees, just about) we need to put it in context. - DavidWBrooks (talk) 17:20, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
- I'm sorry for you that you are so puzzled by what is apparently just a bit of levity. It is a marvellous foto that shows a sense of humor - to my mind much more illustrative of the man's personality than most wiki biography fotos. Plazak (talk) 15:03, 30 October 2011 (UTC)
- I also wondered if it was some kind of corrective eyewear, and wasted a few moments clicking through to find out. I've added a caption to put the picture in context, for the benefit of other readers. --McGeddon (talk) 17:13, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
