Liverpool

Convention at WP:FOOTY that we wait for the club(s) concerned to confirm any transfer as complete before adding it to an article: please see Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football/Archive 58#Official club websites as sources. Obvious reason being that media sources like to pre-empt these things to make sure no other media sources pre-empt them...

There's nothing yet on Liverpool's website, and there's nothing yet on Atlético's website. Further, the cited source for his signing for Liverpool, the Spanish sports paper Marca, finishes off with the words "Es cuestión de horas que la cesión de Javier Manquillo sea anunciada de forma oficial por el club", i.e. "It's a matter of hours before Javier Manquillo's loan is formally announced by the club". So that source doesn't even attempt to claim the move is complete. I'll undo the move, and suggest that others wait until confirmation exists before re-adding. Although agreeing in part to this, I have to add one thing: Spanish media is not that "imprecise" as the English is (talking, of course, about football transfers). But it's better wait until the official confirmation. Thanks, MYS 77 ^✉ 18:47, 23 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
