The text says his death was an accident, but the cited reference does not say that, only that he died in his house. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mapjc (talkcontribs) 13:07, August 20, 2007 (UTC).

I'm going to delete the reference to an accident unless someone can cite a source for it. Mapjc 20:31, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well done. Thank you. Mapjc 03:04, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nickname

[edit]

His nickname is a reference to Yosser Hughes, a character from the TV show 'Boys From The Blackstuff', to whom Boere bore a resembelance (mostly due to his height). This is as opposed to 'Yozza' as previously stated.

Source: Claret And Blues, the autobiography of ex-West Ham player Tony Cottee.

Cause of death

[edit]

It's been 13 years, can no one confirm the cause of death? English sources would probably just be interested enough in reporting his death but Dutch sources would probably give more information. Harizotoh9 (talk) 13:36, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
