Removed information about a fine

[edit]

Jørgensen apparently got a fine at one point. I remove this information, as it does not relate properly to his football career: he competes in football, he is not in a competition regarding who can avoid getting a fine. Relevant to the mass media is not the same as relevant to Wikipedia. As opposed to the mass media, we have a responsibility for keeping the article free of contentious material. Add disciplinary episodes only if it interferes significantly with the footballing career. Narssarssuaq (talk) 06:54, 5 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I see your point, and I agree that we have a responsibility for keeping articles free of contentious material, but this material was well-sourced so there isn't any Wikipedia policy that supports removing it. If it wasn't sourced, you could have removed it, and if that information was the only thing present in the article, you could have removed it per WP:UNDUE. But footballers are public figures and there isn't any reason to write only about their footballing-career in their wiki-article, as long as it's well-sourced.
