Moving Article from Julayi to Julai

[edit]

Please provide suitable reasons for moving the page from Julayi to Julai. Here are my following reasons why the page should not be moved;

  • IMDb has listed the film as Julayi.[1]
  • The national newspapers like The Times of India, Deccan Chronicle are referring the film by the name "Julayi".[2][3]
  • Popular Telugu film websites like idlebrain.com, 123telugu.com are calling it "Julayi".[4][5]
  • An official press note by the makers/distributors refers to the title as "Julayi".[6]
  • The title of the film in Telugu(జులాయి) has a "య (ya)" with a "ఇ (i)" attached to it. The combination of the both gives the Telugu letter "యి (yi)". So, the English traslation must contain a letter "y".
  • An other editors view. "The word జులాయి is made of 6 letters which transcribe as "ja u la ā ya i", i.e. "julāyi". Anthony Appleyard (talk) 21:26, 14 June 2012 (UTC)"

According to article titles guidelines (refer WP:NAMINGCRITERIA), this article will be more well recognized using the title "Julayi" for the reasons established before. If the electronic media/webpages are using the title "Julayi" to refer to the film, i think it would be better to use that to identify the article unambiguously. And lastly, this will ensure consistency through out the. --Krzna (talk) 14:45, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I just moved it, didn't realize this discussion was happening. Almost all sources use this spelling. I am happy to move it back if anyone opposes. BOVINEBOY2008 18:32, 2 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
