@Mattholomew: The story of Kala's tunnel construction has been covered by The New York Times and The Washington Post, as well as a number of local outlets. I can see the argument that potentially her account itself is what's notable, and not the person herself. But why do you think she's not notable? From WP:Notability Under the topic “General notability guideline” in WP:Notability it mentions “A topic is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article or list when it has received significant coverage in reliable sources”. Yes, she has been mentioned in reliable sources but not significant coverage.
Additionally, from that article, “If reliable sources cover a person only in the context of a single event, and if that person otherwise remains, and is likely to remain, a low-profile individual, we should generally avoid having a biographical article on that individual.”
This is a low profile individual with a shovel and just because she has not caused grave harm to herself or others through her amateur work, it does not constitute an entire article written about her. Mattholomew (talk) 02:55, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Seems Kala can be compared with Colin Furze a YouTuber known for creating an underground shelter in his backyard and now tunnelling from his backyard to frontyard. Kala also have a "backup" YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@engineerkala . Atozy made a YouTube video about Kala, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2p-AOcwtzk .
